The Department of Internal Medicine provides high quality medical care for patients with a wide spectrum of clinical conditions. Faculty members  in the department have a broad-based training in General Internal Medicine  in one or more subspecialties. The presence of clinicians with different subspecialty training in the department allows an integrated approach to patient care. The department  is tasked in maintaining the effectiveness of a multidisciplinary approach to assure quality patient management through its close coordination with other Institutes, Centers and Departments.
