The Department of Thoracic Surgery in Akdeniz University Hospital is one of the most distinguished departments in the hospital is equipped with state-of-art facilities, capable of performing the most advanced and comprehensive diagnostic examinations in surgical treatment and diagnostic surgery for diseases in the lungs, chest, esophagus, mediastinum and chest wall. We use a fiber optic bronchoscope and the computerized pulmonary function test machineby the assistance of our highly trained medical team  in diagnosing and treating chest disorders. We have a modern non-invasive methods for treatment of respiratory failure. It is also equipped with adult and pediatric ventilators, aerosol delivery systems in the form of ultrasonic nebulizers, and medimist inhalation, as well as modalities for chest physical therapy.
